Faith is believing in something you can’t see. When we get on a plane, we don’t ask to see the pilot’s license or check the engine — we just trust that it’s going to get us safely to our destination. That’s faith.

But let’s be honest — my faith journey has been a little rocky, especially as someone who struggles with control. I was so used to handling everything on my own that my faith became compromised by control.

Every detail of my life, I tried to control — relationships, finances, places to stay, friendships, family. I wanted to control it all.

If that sounds like you, listen up:

Whatever is meant to happen will happen, no matter what.

Faith is trusting that God is working behind the scenes — even when we’re asleep, on a date, or sitting in church. He’s always moving, always working things together for our good.

“If you lose faith, you lose it all.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Trusting God while still moving through life can feel scary. And when I first started my faith journey, I thought all I had to do was believe — that somehow, the blessings would just fall out of the sky.

However, I really thought a million dollars would drop down from heaven, or that I’d win the lottery! But then I learned what the Bible says:

“Faith without works is dead.” – James 2:26

You can have all the faith in the world, but you still have to put in the work.
You must believe that it will come to pass — no matter how life looks right now.

Because life can make you question God sometimes — when your car breaks down, when you lose your job, when everything seems to fall apart at once.

But what if I told you… the things you think are bad are actually good?
What if everything falling apart is really God putting it all together — for your good?

The pain, the financial struggles, the heartbreak, the divorce — it’s all part of His plan.

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

What if God told you to leave everything behind and start over — would you do it?
Would your faith be big enough to trust Him, even without knowing what’s next?

Sometimes, obedience comes before understanding. If you move when God says move, He’ll provide everything you need — even when it doesn’t make sense. But if you don’t, you’ll stay stuck.

Faith is believing without knowing the outcome.
It’s trusting His plan, even when He doesn’t tell you every step.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

When your faith starts to fade, remember — God has never failed His people.

Here are just a few reminders:

Main Lesson

Every one of these people had to:
Step out before they saw results.
Trust God even when it didn’t make sense.
Obey first, understand later.

And God never failed any of them.

So if your faith feels shaky today, remember — faith isn’t about knowing how it’ll work out. It’s about trusting Who is working it out.
